Temple Keep exists because the average person spends 90% of their time indoors, and the EPA has found indoor air and water quality can be 2-5x worse than outdoor levels. We're here to help you fix that — one product at a time.
Who We Are
I started this site after realizing how hard it is to find honest reviews in the home health space. Most "review" sites have never touched the products they recommend. That's not how I work. If I recommend something, it's because I've dug into the research, compared the alternatives, and — whenever possible — used it myself. When I haven't personally tested a product, I tell you upfront and I back every claim with third-party certifications and verified customer data.
How We Review Products

Every product guide is built on a foundation of research, comparison, and honest assessment. Here's how we do it:
1. Research & Selection
We start by identifying the top products in each category using multiple sources: customer reviews, industry certifications, expert recommendations, and manufacturer specifications. We analyze 15-30 products per category before narrowing to our top 5-7 picks.
2. Criteria Development
For each category, we define the criteria that actually matter. For water filters, that's filtration capability, NSF certifications, flow rate, and filter lifespan. For air purifiers, it's CADR ratings, filter type, room size coverage, and noise levels. We publish these criteria so you know exactly what we're comparing.
3. Comparison & Testing
We compare products side-by-side against our criteria. When possible, we personally test products in real home environments. When we can't test every product, we're transparent about it — and we rely on verified customer data, third-party certifications, and extensive research to fill the gaps.
4. Honest Assessment
Every product we recommend gets a clear pros and cons list. We never hide the downsides. If a product has a flaw, we tell you. We also rate each product on a 1-10 scale so you can compare at a glance.
5. Ongoing Updates
We update our guides regularly — every 3-6 months — to reflect new products, price changes, and new research. Each guide shows its "last updated" date so you know it's current.

We do not accept payments for reviews. No manufacturer can buy a positive recommendation here. Period. If a product is on this site, it earned its spot.
We do not review products we haven't researched. Every product goes through a detailed evaluation against published criteria. When we can physically test, we do. When we can't, we're upfront about it — and we rely on third-party certifications (NSF, WQA, Energy Star, GREENGUARD Gold), published research, and extensive verified customer data to fill the gaps. We never recommend anything based on a spec sheet alone.
We do not accept paid articles or sponsored content. There are no sponsored posts, no "partner" recommendations, and no conflicts of interest on this site.
